*** A response by the Laudian Dow to Henry Burton's An Apology of an Appeale and For God, and the King in which he argues that the rise of Puritanism was the chief source of religious conflict in Charles I's reign. Rare at auction, we can trace only 2 other copies in the last 70 years.
