Famous Women.- Le Moyne (Pierre) The Gallery of Heroick Women, first edition in English, additional engraved title, letterpress title in red and black with woodcut printer's device with some hand-colouring in red ink, 20 engraved plates, Table f. bound at end of preliminaries, P4, 2E2 & 2R1 small rust-spot or hole affecting couple letters, plate at K3 with few very short tears at fore-edge, few instances of ink passage-marking, occasional water- or other staining, the odd spot or light soiling, contemporary dark brown morocco, gilt, covers with gilt panels with cherub tool to each corner, spine in compartments with floral tools and red morocco label, some wear to corners, little rubbed, a good and wide-margined copy, [Wing L1045], folio, R. Norton for Henry Seile, 1652.
