[Tasso (Torquato)] Godfrey of Bulloigne, or the Recoverie of Jerusalem. Done into English Heroicall verse, by Edward Fairfax, first edition, second state with cancel slip pasted over first stanza to B1 with altered version of first line ("I sing the warre made in the Holy land"), title within typographic border, title washed and tipped-in, likely several other ff. cleaned at beginning and end, O6 small paper-flaw affecting few letters, trimmed at head a few times just shaving headline, the odd light stain, some light browning, later calf, rebacked, leather dry and chipped to cover extremities, g.e., [Pforzheimer 1001; STC 23698], small folio, Ar. Hatfield, for J. Jaggard and M. Lownes, 1600.
