Genealogy.- Foyle copy.- Vincent (Augustine) A Discoverie of Errours in the First Edition of the Catalogue of Nobility, first edition, with final errata f., woodcut head-pieces, initials and numerous coats-of-arms, lacking initial blank, L4 tiny rust-hole within text, few later ink annotations, some light spotting, light browning, bound in mottled calf by Rivière & Son, rebacked preserving gilt backstrip with double olive morocco labels, some wear to extremities, little rubbed but still a handsome copy, g.e., [STC 24756], folio, William Jaggard, 1622.

⁂ Essentially a corrected reprint of Ralph Brooke's Catalogue of Nobility of 1619, and now known principally as the reason for William Jaggard's delay in printing Shakespeare's First Folio, due to him being occupied with the corrections for this work.

Provenance: W. A. Foyle, Beeleigh Abbey (burgundy morocco bookplate); Wm. Hardy (faded ownership name to head of title).
