India.- Photograph Album, 34 vintage albumen prints, most c.155 x 255 mm., captioned by hand, one or two captioned in the negative, odd very faint marginal spotting, contemporary wooden boards, upper cover lacquered black with decorative white (?ivory) onlays, one or two minor cracks, a little rubbed, 4to, [c.1890].
⁂ Including a print of one of the earliest photographs taken of the Suez Canal.
Images of India include, "Bombay" [Mumbai]; Lucknow; Delhi; Khandallah; Lucknow; Agra; Taj Mahal and Benares. Other areas featured are Gibraltar, Malta, Ismailia, Aden, Port Said and the Suez Canal.
This lot contains ivory and is subject to CITES regulations. Prospective buyers are advised to familiarise themselves with export and import restrictions applicable to this lot. It is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain all necessary permits required to export this lot lawfully from the UK and import into their country. This item is registered under the Ivory Act 2018 exemption LBGWAVFS.
