Procopius Caesariensis. The Secret History of the Court of the Emperor Justinian, a few instances of neat ink underlining, trimmed close at head, occasionally shaving pagination, 18th century panelled speckled calf, spine with monogram gilt in compartments (?initials "OEW"), spine lacking label and with light wear to head, some light rubbing to joints and extremities, [Wing P3641], 8vo, for John Barkesdale Bookbinder, 1674.

⁂ One of the earliest, possibly the first, English translation of the Anecdota of Procopius.
