London.- Brown (Thomas) Amusements Serious and Comical, Calculated for the Meridian of London, first edition, early ownership name "Francis Sale" to pastedown and front free endpaper, few nicks to title fore-margin, occasional marginal water-staining, soiling, contemporary blind-stamped calf, small defect to calf to lower cover, spine ends and corners worn, upper joint starting at head, [Wing B5051], 8vo, for John Nutt, 1700.
⁂ Thomas Brown (1662-1704) was a noted English satirist and Grub Street writer. His work provides a tour of London, which although not entirely rooted in fact gives an insight into London culture at the time.
