Naunton (Sir Robert) Fragmenta Regalia, first edition, first issue with "father" for "mother" on verso of second f., title with woodcut decoration, the odd spot, later mottled calf by F. Bedford, rebacked preserving original backstrip, little rubbed, [Grolier, Wither to Prior 631; Wing N249 & N250A], small 4to, no printer, 1641.
⁂ A good account of Queen Elizabeth's courtiers, including Sir Robert Cecil, Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Philip Sydney. A variant edition with "Observations on the late Queen Elizabeth" on the title-page was printed in the same year, although "this is probably the second edition and was reprinted with a similar title in 1642" [Grolier, Wither to Prior 632].
