India.- D'Oyly (Attributed to Charles) and others. Pocket album comprising 30 original watercolours, 15 of Indian interest, and other cuttings, including 8 small watercolour studies of India with early ink inscriptions giving the works to D'Oyly, others by different hands of or by military figures, also probably in India, and one fine study of the Tomb of Akbar with the minarets broken, by an Indian artist, and numerous small printed cuttings unrelated, watercolours, gouache, various sizes, the D'Oyly's each approx. 50 x 50 mm (2 x 2 in), Akbar's Tomb 60 x 100 mm (2 1/4 x 4 in), neatly tipped onto album leaves, some minor spotting and browning throughout, 19th century blue cloth, gilt and embossed, spine splitting, very worn, with broken clasp with upper cover missing attachment, 8vo, [early 19th century]
