⁂ Scarce collection of works on the Ottoman Turks. Leunclavius, or Hans Loewenklaw, a native of Westphalia, was born around 1533 into a noble family. He went to Turkey in 1582 and spent three years there travelling extensively and learning the language before returning to Vienna.
