Henault, 1644.

⁂ Includes the very rare supplement Foiblesse pittoyable..., 1644, 10pp., bound at end. Important work in the 'perspective wars' of the 1640s in which Curabelle attacks Girard Desargues (1591-1661) "the greatest perspectivist and projective geometer of his generation" (Kemp, The Science of Art, 1990, p.120).

Provenance: The Earls of Macclesfield (bookplate and embossed library stamp to first 3ff. as usual).
