Gill (Eric) Ecce tu pulchra es, final state (Physick 614), wood-engraving overprinted in blue, signed by the artist in pencil and numbered 10/10 lower margin, some spotting, blue ink to margin from overprinting, 140 x 64mm., 1929.
⁂ A scarce example of Gill's colour-printing. The artist included an example of this work in an album he gifted to his wife (sold, Lyon & Turnbull, 28th September 2022, lot 117) but we have been unable to trace any other example at auction. Originally intended as an illustration for Canticum Conaticorum but never used.
