Gill (Eric) Mother and Child [&] Lovers on a Bank [&] Lovers, 2nd state, wood-engravings on laid paper with good margins, signed and numbered by the artist, the last a little spotted, [Physick 286, 288 & 294], 1924.
⁂ A charming group that show the artist's evolving study of figures in an embrace. The last item, an intaglio print is from an edition of 8 and especially rare, we have been unable to trace any other examples at auction or on the market.
Provenance: From the collection of Evan Gill, purchased directly from the estate.
