Gill (Eric) Two wood-engravings intended to illustrated "Lady Chatterley's Lover" comprising Lady C. [Physick 728, citing this copy], on japon with good margins, 145 x 90mm., 1930; Mellors, [727], on wove paper, inscribed by the artist in pencil in lower margin "Evan from Eric", 130 x 45mm., 1931.
⁂ Gill's illustrations for an unrealised edition of Lady Chatterley's Lover. The first work is especially rare, with no copy recorded in the artist's personal file. The second was allegedly modeled after the artist and was subsequently used as a frontispiece for Clothing Without Cloth.
