Gill (Eric) A group of 10 wood-engravings illustrating the works of William Shakespeare, on various papers, each signed and numbered by the artist in pencil lower margins, some scattered spotting, mostly restricted to margins, [Physick 833, 838, 844, 845, 846, 852, 859, 860, 861 & 910], v.s., 1932-36.
⁂ An excellent group including Gill's portrait of Shakespeare, several illustrations from Hamlet, the frontispiece for Sonnets and his History, Romance and Tragedy for The New Temple Shakespeare.
