Scandinavia.- Billmark (C. J.) Voyage Pittoresque de Stockholm a Gothembourg, first edition, 24 hand-coloured lithograph plates by O. Cardon after Billmark, one with repaired tear, occasional light foxing, but generally plates very clean, modern half cloth preserving old gilt-lettered leather spine (rubbed), oblong 4to, Stockholm, A. Bonnier, 1843.
⁂ Rare. We have been unable to trace any coloured copies at auction.
The album depicts an excursion along the Göta Canal, built at the beginning of the 19th century and 190km long, featuring views of Gothenburg, Trollhättan, Leckö, Wadstena, Motala, Norrköping, Söderköping, and Stockholm.
