Gill (Eric) Collection of 36 wood engravings on 26 sheets for "The Four Gospels", comprising 25 sheets signed or initialled and numbered from an edition of 10 and 1 sheet signed from an edition of 16, some scattered foxing, Gill reference numbers and page numbers relating to the published work in pencil to margins, various sizes between approx. 130 x 270 mm (5 1/8 x 10 5/8 in) and 280 x 205 mm (11 x 8 1/8 in), all unframed, 1930-31.
⁂ An excellent collection of wood engraved prints from this Gill masterpiece. Included are examples of "The Creation", "The Eagle of St. John" and "The Temptation", A full listing of the relevant Physick numbers is available on request.
