Massinger (Philip) The Picture. A Tragecomedie, first edition, woodcut device on title, woodcut decorations and initials, lacking initial blank, corner of A3 replaced, trimmed with some loss to headlines, signatures and catchwords, later calf, gilt, rubbed, spine worn with piece of backstrip missing, [STC 17640.5; Greg II, 436], 4to, Printed by I[ohn] N[orton] for Thomas Walkley, 1630.
⁂ This is the second issue with the title reset (with 'Tragecomedie' not 'Tragaecomedie' inter alia).
"Mathias, a Bohemian knight, is desperate because he cannot support his high-born wife Sophia in the style he would like, so he travels to Hungary to fight against the Turks on behalf of its king, Ladislaus.
