Bindings.- Almanack.- Rider (Cardanus) Rider's (1735) British Merlin, one or two manuscript notes and doodles, one or two f. becoming loose, contemporary red morocco gilt, gilt diamond centrepiece, lacking metal pin, by R. Nutt, 1735; Rider's British Merlin: for the year of our Lord God 1742, lacking final free endpaper, ink ownership inscription, one or two blank ff. removed by a previous owner, contemporary black morocco tooled in gilt, secured with a pin, by R. Nutt, [1742]; Rider's British Merlin: for the year of our Lord God 1778, ink manuscript figures at beginning, pockets at front and back, contemporary red crushed morocco tooled in gilt, for the Company of Stationers, 1778; titles in red and black, duty stamp to titles, scattered spotting, Dutch floral endpapers, scattered faint spotting and staining, tooled in gilt, 4 circular silver metal bosses, all but the last engraved with a large flower decoration, the last engraved with the royal insignia 'G.R.', a little rubbed and bumped, 12mo (3).
