Daniel (Samuel) Musophilus: containing a generall defence of learning, title within fine woodcut border, marginal restoration to 4 leaves, foxing and soiling, bookplate of Kenneth Rapoport, later dark green morocco, gilt, by Riviere, g.e., [STC 6261; Grolier 59; Pforzheimer 245], 4to, Printed by P.S. for Simon Waterson, 1599.
⁂ Usually appears as part of Daniel's Poeticall Essayes, 1599, but Grolier says "The different divisions of this work were originally issued separately, and the unsold portions of the editions were brought together into one volume." Huntington (1919) checklist p.100 treats this as independent and Greg III p.1050-51 records independent copies at Folger and Harvard.
