Aesop. Aesop's Fables with His Life: in English, French and Latin, engraved additional title, arms of the dedicatee, William Cavendish, Earl of Devonshire, portrait of Aesop with animals (often bound as frontispiece) and 30 numbered plates by Thomas Dudley only (of 31, without the "indecent" plate 17 as often), 110 engraved illustrations by Francis Barlow, occasional spotting or soiling, cropped touching one or two plate-marks but no loss, later russia ruled and tooled in gilt with decorative border and small floral ornaments to corners, spine gilt in compartments with six raised bands, floral inner gilt dentelles, g.e., rubbed, a few minor scuffs and scratches, joints repaired, [Wing A703], folio, by H. Hills jun. for Francis Barlow, and are to be sold by Charles Wilkinson...Tho.Fox...and Henry Faithorne, 1687.
