Peter the Lombard (theologian, Bishop of Paris, and author of Libri Quatuor Sententiarum, c. 1096-1160) Leaf from Book 3 of Libri Quatuor Sententiarum, manuscript in Latin, on vellum, Gothic bookhand, in light brown and red ink, 2 two-line initials in red and blue, pen and ink strapwork decoration in margins, 31 lines, framed and glazed, manuscript 165 x 125mm., [France], [c. 1250]; and 7 other pieces, including: 3 leaves from a 15th century Book of Hours; a printed leaf from a 16th century Book of Hours; a cloven foot demon illustration cut from a 16/17th century choirbook etc., all framed and glazed (8 pieces).
