India.- Patna School (circa 1830-1850) An album with 18 sheets of Indian character studies of tradesman, including amongst others, snake charmers, cloth hawkers and tailors, watercolours, some heightened with white, on various wove papers, each sheet of various size between 180 x 140 mm (7 1/8 x 5 1/2 in) and 220 x 140 mm (8 5/8 x 5 1/2 in), all tipped onto album leaves, some with previous cololoured paper supports still affixed, surface dirt with glue adhesive marks visible to some, scattered spotting with minor surface dirt, some leaves missing with stubs remaining, half calf, spine broken with splits and losses, scuffed and very worn, oblong folio, [circa 1830s or slightly later]
